We have 4 major events on the calendar for the summer. First is on nephew Ken's wedding. Then the women's college softball world series. On August 21st there is a total solar eclipse that will cover parts of Wyoming, then off to the Albuquerque balloon festival.
Start out going to Guadalupe Mountain NP in Texas and cross into New Mexico to see Carlsbad Caverns NP. From there back into Texas to Big Bend NP, San Antonio, Houston, then the Dallas area. Then to Oklahoma City where we will leave Harvey and drive by car out east for the wedding, visit Bob's brother in Virginia and a few other stops on the way.
Once back in Oklahoma city we'll see the softball world series, hopefully meet up with some friends before we move on. From there it is north thru Kansas, Nebraska into South Dakota then into Minnesota. We will head west from there to Theodore Roosevelt NP in North Dakota. By that time we need to move toward Wyoming for the total solar eclipse. After a stop in the Denver area to meet up with some friends we are off to the balloon festival and a few more NPs round out the summer before we head to Mesa.
There is lots of time for sight seeing, relaxing and just enjoying our journey.
Please keep us posted of any travel plans that might be anywhere near our rout. We can easily alter some plans and get together with you.
